Church
Facility |
|
The church
building is located at the corner of Rte. 117 and Orchard Ridge Road. The
Sanctuary, with its Carillon bell tower, is the main focus of the church.
The Sanctuary structure also includes a second story balcony and a choir
room in the undercroft below the altar area. The building is
wheelchair accessible by ramp and has a bathroom for the
handicapped.
Church
offices are located in the hallway connecting the Sanctuary to the Education
wing. A beautiful courtyard garden, known as the Bruckner garden, facing the offices is used for occasional
outdoor worship services and other special events.
At the
Education wing entrance there is a reception desk. Two church libraries, adult and children's, contain many resources
for members’ use. These include a wide variety of books (religious and
topical), videotapes, cassette recordings of the worship services, and
computers.
|
|
In the
Parish Hall, members gather for fellowship following Sunday worship, for
other social gatherings, and for congregational meetings. It includes a
stage which is used for church and community performances, as well as a
gathering place for youth groups. |
|
The Memorial Room, which is
adjacent
to the church kitchen, is used for receptions, various church programs
and meetings.
 |

The stained
glass Memorial Windows were originally installed in the church's first
building, which is the stone church at the corner of King Street and
Orchard
Ridge Road.
|
|
The left
hallway leads to the kitchen, custodial office and back stage area. The
hallway straight ahead leads to the two floors of classrooms. Classrooms are
used for Church School, Play Care, the weekday pre-school program, and
outside community group meetings. The largest room at the end of the hall
contains a piano used for youth choir rehearsals and an indoor
climbing/slide set. |
|
Outside there is a large enclosed play area for children. It includes two
climbing/slide sets (one appropriate for younger children), a sandbox, a
swing set, a tire swing, a playhouse and a full-size basketball stand.
|
|
Several
beautiful gardens, trees and ornamental plantings enhance the property. A
Columbarium, dedicated in 1994, is located in the quiet wooded area next to
the Sanctuary. Burial urns containing ashes of deceased members and church
friends may be interred here. |

The Bruckner
Garden was given to the church by Chester Bruckner as a
gift from him and his sisters. He also provided the church with a generous
fund for the upkeep of the garden and the grounds of the church. |
